It depends on the situation. Generally, dental implants are considered the superior treatment, but there are times that a dental bridge makes more sense.
A dental implant replaces the tooth and root of your missing tooth. It’s like having your natural tooth back. It also protects you from bone loss. Generally, when it comes to replacing a tooth, this is the recommended replacement. It does require surgery and is an advanced procedure, but the results are worth it.
A dental bridge suspends a false tooth between two dental crowns. This makes more sense if you already need crowns on your adjacent teeth. That essentially allows you to get two procedures done at once.
