I wear dentures. You’re going to think I’m nuts, but I think my jawbone is shrinking. My dentures don’t fit quite the same and my jaw looks smaller.

I don’t think you’re crazy. In fact, I think you’re probably right. If you have dentures, it means your teeth have been removed. When that happens your body begins to use the minerals for your jawbone elsewhere. Your jawbone gets smaller and smaller when that happens. Eventually, your dentures won’t stay in your mouth.
There is a solution. Dental implants signal to your body that your jawbone is needed and will leave the minerals there. Unfortunately, you may have lost too much jawbone to enable you to retain the implants. There is hope though. You can have bone grafting done.
I hope your dentist warned you about this before you got dentures, but based on your question, I’m guessing not.
